Meet Megan

Hey, I am so happy that you’re here!

I’m Megan and I’m a literacy specialist, an experienced teacher, and a busy momma!

I'm here to help you give your kiddo a leg up in reading.

I've got a bunch of fun and easy phonics activities that'll make learning to read a breeze!

As a mom and teacher, I get it.

Getting kids to read in a fun, engaging way (i.e. minimal/no whining) is not always easy.

Luckily, I have a huge passion for making learning to read insanely FUN for kids!

There's a lot of information on the internet, competing approaches to reading, and traditional classrooms do not have the bandwidth to help; I aim to help digest some of this information using my knoweldge and success stories to provide interventional resources to close that gap and enable students to get to reading level and beyond!

I pour my expertise into creating tools that empower parents to be reading champions for their kids! And love sharing all of my tried-and-true activities, strategies, and resources!

What exactly is my expertise???

I have a Master of Arts as a Reading Specialist and bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Human Development & Family Studies. With over 15 years of experience in education, I have been a classroom teacher, a K-8th grade literacy interventionist, and I have developed an early learning program (designed and set up an entire daycare center!) for a nonprofit.

Each child CAN read. The key is figuring out HOW they learn.

Let me use my 15+ years of teaching experience to make your life easier! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me

Ms. Megan is hands down the best reading tutor we’ve ever had - and we’ve had several! My daughter fell behind in reading last year and we started working with Megan over the summer. She ended 1st grade in the bottom 10% with reading, despite extra help at school and outside of school. After 2 short months of working with Megan, she started 2nd grade at above the 50% mark for reading. Not only is she extremely skilled in her profession, Megan is able to make the tutoring sessions fun and enjoyable and makes my daughter truly look forward to their time together. We are so thankful!
